Jack is THREE!

Jack turned three years old last week!  We had family over for a birthday party the Sunday before his birthday.  That morning, Jack got to open up his presents from us when he woke up.  He liked opening gifts!
His big gift was this bike.
Daddy adjusted the seat for him.
Later, he got to open more presents when Nana, Papa, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Paul, Aunt Margaret, and his cousins, Mimi, Katie, and Bridget, came over.
He liked to pause after opening a gift to play with it (or read it) before he moved on to the next one.
I borrowed a couple cool train pans from Colleen to make his cakes.  They were pound cakes (only one is shown) because I needed a dense cake to show all the details.  We topped them with strawberries and ice cream.  Yum!

Mimi read him one of the new books he got!  Most of the books he got were about trains.
Jack really likes to play with his cousins, even though they are much older than he is.
Patrick slept for most of the party, but was a smiley guy when he was awake.

A Day at the Park

The weather was beautiful yesterday, so we met some friends at the park. Altogether, there were 14 children and 6 adults. Jack wore an orange shirt, which really helped me find him on the playground.
This lady was doing some sort of crazy work-out in the park. Then she came onto the playground and started doing this. I was not the only adult discreetly taking pictures.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Jim, Molly, Jack, and Patrick wish you a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This morning we went to a friend's house for an Irish breakfast.
Then, we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house and played outside.  It was a beautiful day!

Warmer Weather

It's been getting warmer in St. Louis!  I am anxious for spring and spending more time outside.  This week has been pretty nice and we were able to get outside quite a bit.

Last Saturday, I had a baby shower for my friend Shanna.  It was lots of fun!

We went to Jim's parents' house last weekend.  Patrick got to hang out with his Aunt Margaret and cousin Bridget (as well as his grandparents and uncle).
On Sunday we took advantage of the milder temperatures and walked to the playground.  It had been a few months since we had been there.
Jack loves the swings.  He used to love to be pushed higher and higher.  This time he did not want to go too high.  It's funny how he can change in just a few months.
This is a little seat in the park.  Jack was interested in it on our walk home.
Then we went to my parents' house for dinner.  Patrick was all smiles for Nana.
On Wednesday, when the high was in the 70's, we went to the zoo.  Jack decided Caeleigh needed lots of hugs!
Lots of animals were out enjoying the weather, too!
Of course we rode the train!  Caeleigh and Jack sat in a seat by themselves!
Jack even got to sit on the engine!
Today was rainy, so we met Nancy and Margo at the Magic House.
They have a new train exhibit that opened today!
