Half Marathon Weekend

One of my best friends, Kathryn, came in town in April for the half marathon/Cardinals home opener.  It was a great weekend!  I got to meet her fiancee for the first time.  On Saturday several girls from high school met up at a park with our kids.
The kids had fun playing together.
Sunday morning we got up bright and early to run the half marathon.
The finishers!
Sunday evening a bunch of us girls got together for dinner (without the kids this time)!

We made Kathryn wear a veil.  It is certainly not something she would choose to wear.
On Monday we went to the Cardinals home opener!  It was a great weekend!

Easter

A few days before Easter, I took Patrick, Charlie, and Maggie to see the Easter Bunny (Jack was in school). Charlie was so excited to see him and ran to sit on his lap!  Patrick didn't have any desire to get near him.
I put Maggie on his lap and you can tell she loved every second of it.
Maggie did like to be in the giant Easter basket, though.  She's wearing the Easter dress Nana made her.
Big brothers were happy to give her a lift.
Jim was working part of Easter weekend, so I took the kids to visit my college roommate for the night.  Jack and her son Bo are a month apart and get along great!
Our college friends Dave and Joslyn came to Amy's house, too.  Between us we had 11 kids.  They had a blast playing together.
The next morning I attempted a picture of Amy's and my children before we drove home.  I think Maggie is the only one looking.
It's always fun to visit with Amy!
On Easter morning, the kids hunted for eggs at our house.  Then we went to church and to Grandma and Grandpa's for brunch.  Later we went to Nana and Papa's for dinner.  I only took pictures of the egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa's.

Aunt Margaret helped Margaret.
