Cruise

In June, Jim and I were lucky enough to go on a cruise (first time for both of us!) to celebrate our 40th birthdays.  Our friends Jason and Elizabeth joined us (Jason also turned 40 recently, but Elizabeth has a looonnnng time before she is 40).

We spent a night in Miami before we boarded our ship.  Here are the three 40-year-olds in front of a store called 4D.
Our first stop was in Nassau.  We went on a snorkeling cruise and then explored the town a little.

Each night we got dressed up for dinner.

We took part in the on-board entertainment.  Jim and I tried out to be contestants on the Love & Marriage game show.  We were not chosen, despite Jim's humorous attempts.
Cute towel animals:
Our second stop was CocoCay, an island in the Bahamas that is owned by the cruise line.
We rented a cabana and spent the day on the beach.

When we got back to the ship, Jim and I jumped on the trampoline.

The upper deck of our ship:
Then, we rock climbed.

Another dinner, another fancy dress.
This cracked me up.
We loved our waitstaff!
Our dinner table every night:
Our main nightly waiter, Tem Tem:
While the guys played poker, Elizabeth and I danced with the crew!

Our final stop was Key West.  We rented tandem bikes and explored the island.  We enjoyed our visit to Ernest Hemingway's home.
There are 40-50 six-toed cats that live on the property!

We needed to re-hydrate after our ride.
We had lunch at a cute seaside bar.

Our final night on the boat:
It was a great vacation!
