Total Solar Eclipse

In August, we were able to experience a total solar eclipse.  Since our house was in totality, we didn't have to travel to see it.  Both sets of grandparents came over and we walked to a park a block away to watch.  I made a dish towel for our small viewing party.
The total eclipse cookies I made:

We got certified viewing glasses.
We put the kids' glasses on a paper plate to give more coverage.
Jack gave us each a triangle and assigned us a letter to decorate for a "Solar Eclipse" banner.
 A closer look:

The eclipse made cool shadows.

It definitely lived up to its hype!
