December 2022

In early December, we took a picture for our Christmas card. Maggie is wearing the dress my mom made for her.
There has been a lot of karaoke in our living room.
We celebrated the swim and dive team at the end-of-season banquet. Jack is fourth from left in the back row.
The sophomore swimmers and divers.
The divers with their coach:
We made our annual trip to Our Lady of the Snows to see the lights. The Lego display has become a favorite.
This framed picture is made of Legos!

I took the kids to a chess tournament at Loyola Academy. These were the winners.
We made our annual shopping trip a one-day event this year. We shopped in town and then went home after dinner.
Margaritas for the thirsty shoppers!
I took this picture of the three boys studying.  Charlie is writing at the kitchen island. Patrick is working on a laptop in the breakfast room. Jack is sitting in the window studying.
I met up with former coworkers for a holiday dinner.
My running group went out for our annual holiday dinner. They are so fun!

Our Christmas party turned into a karaoke party by the end of the night.

I love this guy!
These troopers stayed until the end of the party!
Maggie is a great help with Christmas cookie baking!

Maggie joined the choir this year. We went to Christmas mass at our church for the first time ever to hear her in the choir (we usually go to my parents' or brother-in-law's church on Christmas Eve).
The cousins after Christmas Eve dinner.  Maggie and Meara wore dresses that Nana made for them.

Christmas morning at the Kelly home.

The kids wait in the upstairs hallway until we tell them they can come down to open presents.

Maggie was very excited to get this hat!

We hosted brunch and got to hang with cousins!

We went to my aunt and uncle's house Christmas evening. These sophomore second cousins got to hang out.
The day after Christmas, we met Jim's family at Pere Marquette Lodge for a couple nights.
It was so fun to hang out with cousins!
We played lots of games and enjoyed spending quality time with each other.

A winter hike did not disappoint.

Jim and I walked down to the river. It was very cool to see it frozen!
What a treat to swim in the winter!
We did so much hanging out in the lobby. We had our "rob your neighbor" gift exchange with all the adults.
All the Kellys (with a very large Christmas tree)!
Jim set up his amp in the lobby and he and his siblings entertained the guests.

December ended with nice weather for playing outside with neighbors.
We spent NYE with some families in the neighborhood. It was a great end to a great year. Bring on 2023!
