Summer Trip Part II: Four Corners/Bluff, UT/Monument Valley

After leaving Colorado, we made a brief stop at the Four Corners Monument. We were able to stand in Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico at once.

Everyone took a turn standing in all four states.

The view from our car as we left the monument.
We stayed at a resort in Bluff, UT that night. It had the perfect room for our family of six.
The kids enjoyed swimming surrounded by the bluffs.

A few minutes after this picture was taken, we all got out because a storm was coming.
There was a neat fire pit outside our room at the resort.
The next morning, we drove to Monument Valley.

We stopped at Forrest Gump Point, where Forrest Gump finally stops running in the movie.

I found this really helpful sign in a bathroom.

The big van on the road below gives you a little perspective.

There are Jim and the kids on the edge.
Now Molly is on the edge.

I found this picture on my phone.
While driving through Monument Valley, we got caught in a rainstorm. We left there and then stopped at the Navajo National Monument and took a short hike to see cliff dwellings.

We could use our binoculars to see the cliff dwellings across from the lookout.
