We had this little lady's Baptism this past Sunday on Mother's Day.
Maggie was excited to meet some of her Wisconsin cousins who came in town for the event.
We went to my parents' house on Saturday to have dinner and play with my brother and his family. They boys had fun playing soccer in the backyard.
Papa got some big smiles out of Maggie shortly after we arrived.
Maggie's Baptism was Sunday. The boys got to examine the Baptismal candle up close with the Deacon.
Maggie's Godparents are her cousin Bridget and her uncle David. Since David lives in Australia her uncle Michael stood in for the Baptism.
She enjoyed being blessed by Father.
Maggie did great up until this point. After Father poured holy water in Maggie's eyes we couldn't get her to stop crying.
Uncle David made an appearance in this picture:
The original picture:
Maggie wore the same Baptismal gown that her older brothers Patrick and Charlie wore. My mom made it and my cousin embroidered a "K" and shamrocks on it. Jack wore a gown that had been passed on through many generations and had gotten very frail, so my mom made a new one for our family.
Everyone came back to our house for lunch afterward. It was a gorgeous day and I was able to get a lot of good pictures!
The boys played in the backyard.
Goofball:
Ryan and Adam's dad (my brother Patrick) was throwing a ball at them as I took this picture.
I LOVE this picture of the boys!
