Welcome Baby Charlie!

On Tuesday morning, at 9:51, we welcomed Charles Louis Kelly into the world!

Labor and delivery went really well.  Charlie was a champ.  He weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and measured 20.75 inches.  

Mama was so excited to meet him!

So was Daddy!

He is a sweet boy!  He has some dark hair on his head, but not nearly as much as big brother Jack did.

Jim brought the boys to the hospital to meet their little brother today.  Unfortunately, Charlie has jaundice and was in a bilibed. He is only allowed out of bed for feedings, so the boys didn't get to hold him.  They were very excited to see him, though.

Jack kept saying, "I love you, Charlie."  Then, Patrick said, "Love Charlie."  It was sooo cute!  We couldn't get him to say Charlie's name again, though.

After Charlie's last blood test, his bilirubin level is higher, so they switched him from the bilibed to being under this light.  It is supposed to make him better faster.  We are hoping to take him home in the morning, but will probably have to bring a bilibed with us.

His future's so bright, he has to wear shades.
