Once we returned from Ireland, Jim taught Maggie how to mow the lawn. Eye protection: check, ear protection: check, cute skirt: check.
Patrick left for Italy while we were in Ireland. Charlie went to Boy Scout camp for a week. Jack, Maggie, and I enjoyed sno cones one afternoon. We visited Charlie during family night at camp.
Our neighbor Danny was at camp with Charlie
One Friday, I picked Patrick up from the airport. He had a great time in Italy!
Then, I picked Charlie up from camp. I don't think he had quite as much fun as Patrick.
The next day, we drove to Logger's Lake for Uncle Steve's Croquet-a-Palooza. All but one of my mom's living siblings were there!
There were several cousins as well.
Uncle Leo and Uncle Dave won the tournament. Here Leo is drinking a margarita out of his trophy.
While we were not in the tournament, we did enjoy playing croquet.
The weather was great for hanging out in the lake.
Maggie entertained us with her ukulele by the fire.
These two excitedly worked on merit badges.
Jim and Patrick explored the lake in a canoe the next day.
You can see our new, big tent on the shore. It is fun to have another tent that fits our whole family.
Jim and I enjoyed good seats, air conditioning if needed, and all the food and drink we wanted at a Cardinals game with a group from his work.
Maggie and I had the pool to ourselves one afternoon.
We used the money my parents gave us at Christmas for Six Flags passes. Several of Maggie's friends also have passes.
More limbs from our tree fell. Spoiler alert, we had to have the tree removed about 6 months later.
We hosted a graduation party for Jack. I did not take many pictures, but Amy sent me this one. She drove 3 hours (6 hours roundtrip) just to come to his party! She definitely spent more time driving than she did at the party!
At the end of the night, I remembered to take a picture and snapped this one of Jack and some of his best buds.
Maggie attended a surprise party for her friends at their fun pool.My cousins came to visit from Texas. I did not get many pictures, but it sure was fun to hang out with them.
Jim and Johnny enjoyed jamming together.
The moment we had been anxiously awaiting...the Aussies came to visit! The Science Center had a foosball table big enough to accommodate all of us.
Many hands make light work.
After the Science Center, we stopped to visit our favorite Trader Joe's employee (and get some popsicles to take to the park).
That night, Maggie had a swim meet.
More fun was had in July. Stayed tuned (but don't hold your breath)!
