Fun in Wisconsin

We spent the morning playing outside. For some reason, the mailboxes were a hit with Adam and Jack. Adam liked to put rocks in them. Jack would try to sneak past them out into the street.Ryan demonstrates his weed-wacking skills.
Even baby Lukas enjoyed the nice weather.

After lunch, Nana took Ryan and Adam to the Children's Museum while Jack and Lukas napped. When they came back, Ryan and Adam took naps and I took Jack to the museum. We did tons of fun stuff.
Jack climbed through a tunnel made of nets.
Jack dressed as a firefighter and got to play in a firetruck.


This room was full of trucks. Jack was more interested in picking up the tire chips and trying to eat them.
There was a crane that had a big magnet on the end of it. Jack loved playing with the controls and moving it up and down.

We had a lot of fun on this slide.

After a long day of playing, Nana read bedtime stories to Ryan and Adam (Jack and Lukas were already sleeping).Here is a funny video of Jack going down the slide. I set up the camera, pushed record, and then had to run to stairs and cross a bridge before Jack tried to walk down the slide.

On Saturday while we were playing in the yard, Jack was looking into a big flower pot and took a face dive right into it. We wished we had it on video, but here is a picture of his dirty face afterward.Sunday, Jack and I drove up to Chicago. Here are some pictures from Uncle David and Aunt Melanie's rooftop this morning.

We're off to Wisconsin to see Aunt Ingrid and Ryan, Adam, and Lukas!

Here are some pictures from the last couple weeks. The Sunday of 4th of July weekend we had Bill and April, and Jason, Elizabeth and Andrew over for a barbeque. The guys played washers while Jack and Andrew played with bubbles and in the playhouse.

Jack and I have spent some time at Caeleigh's house in the past couple of weeks and Jack has become quite fond of Caeleigh's cozy coupe. These pictures are from a playdate a couple weeks ago. When we went back to spend the night one night last week, the first thing Jack did when we got to their house was get in the car and "drive." When we woke up in the morning, the car was the first toy he went to. He likes to sit in it and move the steering wheel a lot, but rarely moves the car.
Jack and I went to a slumber party at my friend Jenny's house. He got to stay up a little later and hang out with the girls on the cool deck.
This step was the perfect height for him to sit. He really enjoys being able to sit on steps or short retaining walls. Jim likes to imitate Jack when he cautiously sits down and Jack thinks Jim's imitations are hilarious.

Bubbles are so fun!

One afternoon Jack thought it would be fun to stand on the boom box. He enjoyed opening and closing the CD player with his foot.
It's all fun and games until someone falls.
Grandma coined the name "Elton Jack" after Jack spent the afternoon at Grandma's banging on her piano.

Fourth of July Parade

Jack spent the night with Nana and Papa last night since Jim and I had a rehearsal dinner for the wedding of our friends John and Linda. This morning, I met Jack, Nana, and Papa downtown for the 4th of July parade.

Jack enjoyed playing with the trash on the ground.

He was able to get a good view from Papa's shoulders.
He tapped Papa's head along with the marching band's music.
Jack really enjoyed just being able to sit on the little ledge. It was just the right height for him.On our way home, we stopped by Daddy's work to say hi.

Fun with Second Cousins

Last Friday Colleen and Caeleigh came over to play and brought Caeleigh's water park with them. I think Colleen and I thought it was cooler than the kids did. It had a giraffe, an elephant, and an alligator. Each one squirted water on the kids.
After playing outside a bit, we came in to cool off.

On Saturday, we went to a graduation party for my cousins Brendan and Jack. Our Jack liked to play on the stairs.
