Thanksgiving, Baptism, Trains, and More!
We were without internet for almost a week, so I will use that as my excuse for not updating the blog. I have lots of pictures to share.
Jack and I took Patrick to the zoo for the first time, and we met up with Jack's friend, Margo, and her Dad. Patrick enjoyed his first train ride. He actually slept the entire time at the zoo.
On Thanksgiving, we visited both sets of grandparents. Grandpa held Patrick for the first time, and it was a success!
Papa also held Patrick.
Jack and his cousin, Lukas, took a bath together. Nana gave them these cute snowmen towels.
My cousins usually get together the night after Thanksgiving. Here is a picture of those of us that got together this year. Patrick decided to come along, too.
On Sunday, we had Patrick's Baptism. Here is Jack with his cousins Ryan, Lukas, and Adam.
Uncle Paul and Aunt Ingrid are Patrick's Godparents.
My mom made his baptismal gown!
My cousin embroidered the shamrocks and the "K" on it!
Since my entire family was in town, we gathered on the church steps for a picture.
Jim's mom made this incredible cake!
Patrick got to meet his Aunt Melanie and Uncle David. They got back from a 7 week trip to South America on Friday and left today (Tuesday) to move to Australia. We are really going to miss them!

It's Been a Good Day
Patrick has a bit of difficulty getting back to sleep after feeding in the night. So, after his early morning feeding Jim took Patrick downstairs with him while he got ready for work. I got to sleep longer! When I came down, I saw this cute little peanut in the swing:
Jack is under the impression that if you like 2 things, then they must taste good together. Case in point, breakfast:
Scrambled eggs and Fruit Loops. Yuck!

Lake Shelbyville
Last Saturday we rented a cabin near Lake Shelbyville to celebrate Jim's birthday (it was Sunday). These two pictures are the only ones we have with the cabin in them. It was a spacious, 3 bedroom cabin. It was more room than we needed, but very nice.
Shortly after arriving, we went on a hike on a trail out the back door of our cabin.
Patrick enjoyed the ride on Daddy's chest.

Jack liked to throw things (rocks, big seed-things from the trees, etc.) into the lake next to our cabin.
Jim built a campfire that night and we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores. Yum!
Jack had a great time.
Patrick seemed to enjoy himself, too.
After Jack went to bed, we bundled Patrick up and sat by the fire for a while. Jim brought his guitar and played some music. It was nice and very relaxing.

Halloween
We had a nice Halloween this year. Jack was Superman (as you've seen in a few other posts). Patrick was our cute little pumpkin (even his socks were pumpkins).
It was a bit cold, so he wore his Ireland sweater too.
Both sets of grandparents came over for chili and trick-or-treating. I stayed home with Patrick to pass out candy while Jack went trick-or-treating with Jim and all his grandparents. Jack loved it!
