Eleven Months

We went to see baby Hiro when he was not even a week old. He is pretty cute, with a full head of dark hair. Joe thinks he looks like a little Jr. Billiken!

Jack got to try out one of Hiro's toys. He also had a fun time playing with the Fingerhut's stereo.
Where's the leprechaun?
There he is!
Peek-a-boo is still one of Jack's favorite games.
It's so fun to play with Daddy!

Jack loves to play with the stereo. He can turn it on, turn up the volume, change the radio station, play/pause a CD. It's all luck, but the kid's amazing. One day Jim was in the kitchen listening to Queen. Jack was playing in the back room. Suddenly Jim hears "We will, we will rock you" blaring from the stereo. Jack had found the volume! Another time when Jack went over to the stereo, I turned it off so he could play with the volume all he wanted and not blast out his ears. Soon enough he had found the power button and turned it on. Here he is playing a CD.
Jack was well overdue for a haircut. The last time I cut it, I had trouble cutting the back because the high chair was in the way. This time, I put him in his director's chair (covered with a towel to catch the hair) and I strapped him in with one of Jim's belts. Once again I turned on the television so he would sit still while I cut. It worked out perfectly. He was so absorbed in the soap opera that he didn't even want to look at the camera for a picture. (Just kidding about watching a soap opera - strictly PBS for this guy.)
Pre-haircut
Post-haircut
I love bathtime with Daddy! He lets me run around without clothes on afterward!
The weather has been pretty crazy here. On Sunday we had the windows open and it got up to 78 degrees! Tuesday we were hit with close to a foot of snow! I am anxious for spring. It's hard to get outside when it is so cold and snowy. We did go sledding a little yesterday. I just pulled Jack up and down the street and then we sledding down the slight incline (too small to even call it a hill) in our front yard a couple times.
