The rest of July 2019

The summer began with swim team.  Jack did not join the team this year.  Maggie went to the first few practices, but we quickly realized she was not quite ready.  So, Patrick and Charlie were the only two to be on the swim team this year.  Due to our travels, they didn't make many meets.  Here are some pictures from the last meet they swam in early July.

A had her 4th birthday in early July. We celebrated at a park with friends.
On the 4th of July, we took the kids to Six Flags.  It was plenty hot to enjoy both parts of the park - the waterpark and the rides.

At the end of July, after our big trip out west, we went to the Magic House with cousins.

The last weekend in July we met up with college friends in Kirksville.  It has been 20 years since we graduated from Truman.  Our first stop Friday night was for baby ronzas (now called palonzas).
The kids had a blast in the hotel pool.
On Saturday morning we had a tour of campus.  Here Amy and I are in the dorm room we lived in for two years.
The four of us all lived in Dobson Hall.
The four of us were math majors.
Some of our kids in front of the bell wall.
The whole crew on the mall.
We visited my friend Claire.  She was working at her nursery and took us to visit the horse in the stable.

In the afternoon we went to Thousand Hills State Park.  We swam in the lake and Jim took the kids on a bike ride.
That evening the adults went out on the town.

After the bars we went to Pancake City and IT WAS CLOSED!!! We couldn't believe it.  I guess it's not open 24 hours in the summer.
After mass the next morning, we played a little wiffle ball in the Dobson Hall courtyard.

We finished out July with a trip to the Cardinals game.  Last row!!!  The boys were on the jumbotron (when I took the girls to the bathroom).
