Summer Trip, Part V: Sedona, AZ

We spent our final nights in Sedona. We rented a house with an awesome deck, including hot tub, that was walking distance to downtown. Jim and I snapped this picture the first night from the deck before going out to dinner without the kids.
When we got back from dinner, we took a dip in the hot tub.
The next morning, we walked downtown to the Pink Jeep Tour. We did their most adventurous tour. So fun! Thanks, Nana and Papa!

We made several stops to take in the views.
I think Charlie was exploring while this picture was taken.

The picture doesn't do it justice, but this is one of the hills we drove on.  Yikes!
That afternoon, we hiked to Cathedral Rock.
It was SO HOT!  We sought out any shade we could.

The boys climbed a little faster than the rest of us.
We found a larger shaded area that provided lots of fun climbing.

A certain teenager was not pleased.
After our hike, we stopped at the Chapel of the Holy Rocks.

Jim and Patrick viewed Cathedral Rock from outside the chapel.
We went back to the house to change into swimsuits and then went to Slide Rock State Park.  It was so fun!
We floated down in the cold water.
Jack was brave enough to jump from the edge.

The water was cold!

We looked for javelinas, but never saw any. We thought dinner at the Javelina Cantina on our last night was the next best thing.
On our drive home, we stopped in Winslow, AZ to stand on the corner.

It's a girl, my Lord, in a flatbed Ford...
We made another stop in Amarillo, TX as we passed Cadillac Ranch.

The final selfie of another awesome family vacation. Thanks to Jim for planning 90% of it!
