Around Town

Tomorrow is Jack's first day of preschool and I will probably take lots of pictures that I want to post, so I thought I should catch up with these pictures beforehand.

Jack's friend, Andrew, came over to play last week.  They played on Andrew's swingset in the morning when we picked him up.  Then, we went to a playground.  In the afternoon we played in our backyard.  Jack had a lot of fun!

I put a blanket out for Patrick to sit on, but he didn't stay on it long.

On Saturday we walked over to our friends' house to watch the Notre Dame vs. Purdue football game.  Vinnie went to ND and Shanna to Purdue, so it was fun to watch the game with them.  Jack rode his bike there.  He is getting really good on it.  I have to run sometimes to keep up with him!
Jack and Jim both had on their ND shirts.
On Sunday we decided to take the Metrolink down to the Cardinals game and try to get some cheap tickets.

We didn't have any luck finding cheap tickets, so we got back on the Metrolink and went further east - to The Landing for the Blues Festival.

Jack enjoyed lunch while listening to the blues.
Then, we got back on the Metrolink again to go back to the stadium.

They opened the gates sometime in the seventh inning, and we were able to watch the end of the game from some pretty good seats (for free)!  The Cards beat the Reds!
Instead of waiting in line for the Metrolink at the end of the game, we walked to Union Station after the game.  We came across this bunny statue along the way.
Jim tried to get Jack to imitate the statue.
Jack didn't want to embarrass himself.
Jack enjoyed walking alongside the train tracks.
We don't have any pictures at Union Station.  There's not much to see there, which is too bad.
