June 2018

We came back a day early from Michigan so I could participate in the KT82, an 82-mile, 6-person relay.  It was a ton of fun!  Here is my team before the race started:
Here we are after 82 miles!
We love when little cousins come to visit!

A famous driving range was closing, so we took the kids to hit balls there.
And then out for frozen custard afterwards!
We were able to spend a lot of time at the pool with friends.
I made cookies for a running party I co-hosted.
I took the kids back to the driving range one day to play mini golf. It was hot!  I promised them that we would go to the pool afterwards.
Charlie got a hole-in-one!
Jack got a hole-in-one!
Jumping into the pool!
One night I took Jack to his baseball game about 30 minutes away.  By the time we got there, it was cancelled due to storms.  We went to get frozen custard instead.
Jim and I got dressed up for a work event.
On Father's Day, Jim chose to ride bikes to a nearby school to play.  It was really hot and the kids complained more than a little.  They had fun, though.  They played on the playground and played catch with Dad.

It's a game changer that Maggie can ride a two wheeler now!
We had Father's Day dinner with Jim's parents.
Dad and his kiddos:
Charlie received a gift card to Oberweis and was very excited to use it!
We had some indoor fun at the Science Center.

Outdoor fun at a friend's birthday party:
One day the kids and I went to the zoo.
My friend's dad was the train conductor!

We got to see the Sea Lion Show, where I ran into a friend from grade school.
The kids' favorite part was probably playing in the fountains in the Children's Zoo.

Each kid is pointing to his or her name on their brick at the zoo.
We watched a lot of baseball in June.   Here's Jack:
Charlie didn't want his picture taken.
This picture is one of my favorites.  Patrick had a fun season.

Charlie had his first season of baseball.

Maggie is ready for her turn (the next year)!
June also meant a lot of swim team.  Charlie did well his inaugural year.

Jack swam his final season.
