May 2023

In early May, Jim played music at a prayer vigil for a sick friend.  It was very moving.
Jack was all dressed up for a school dance.  I told my Dad I needed him to come over to stay with the other kids while I went with Jack to take pictures before the dance. I was lying.  Two of his sisters and their husbands had come in from out of town to surprise him for his (belated) birthday.
Jack with his beautiful date (and good friend).
My Dad was soooo surprised!  Here he is with three of his sisters.

It was quite a surprise party!  His sisters did a great job planning it!
The cousins love each other so much!
They always have fun together. These two look adorable in their matching birthday dresses that Nana made.
I'm on my toes and still way shorter than Jim!
The next day, we went to Rory's First Communion.
The first communicants waved these ribbons to the music.
Rory read during Mass.
I got some pictures of Maggie at the after party.

Baseball in the front yard with Dad - it doesn't get much better than that!
We went to the REACH showcase and saw the projects Maggie and Charlie did. We also got to read what they wrote about themselves, REACH class, and being gifted.

Jim and I went to a work event at Top Golf.
Jim and I dressed up for a party with an 80s band.
I enjoyed a mimosa with some of my favorite mothers on Mother's Day.
I don't know exactly what these three were doing, but they were having a good time. It was about to storm and they were getting ready to shelter in the big cardboard box. You can imagine how dry the cardboard kept them.
I got tickets to the Cardinals game for my birthday!
Maggie was really into the baseball game.  ;)
What a fun way to spend my birthday!  The Cardinals beat the Brewers 18-1!!!
Maggie gave me a ceramic cupcake jewelry holder she made me for my birthday.

This guy's pretty great.
Jim and I were excited to see the band Caamp at a new (to us) venue!

Maggie played field hockey this spring.  My friend's daughter Maggie was on another team. These girls are just a few days apart!
Kathy and I explored some trails at her new place.
I drive these girls home from choir each week. They love to sing and to shout out the window to passersby.
For my birthday, these three joined me on a 46-mile bike ride.
We stopped along the way for lunch.
46 miles!
It's always fun to run into friends on our walk to school.
We enjoyed a hike with friends.

It's fun to find random pictures on my phone.
