February 2022

February started with a big snowfall. Patrick helped clear the snow for Jim to park in the driveway.
Lots of snow fun with neighbors!

Jim and I walked to the golf course to sled with Patrick, Charlie, and Maggie. Jack was too cold to join us.

Charlie's eyelashes were catching snowflakes!

Our Rubik's Cube enthusiast made a heart with four cubes.
The Daddy-Daughter Dance was finally back and Maggie was soooo excited to go again! She talked about it for months leading up to it. There was a beach theme this year. Maggie wore the dress we bought for her in Kauai.

They went out to dinner with friends and danced the night away.

Morning snuggles.
For twin day at school, several middle school teachers dressed in Packers gear.
Charlie and his "twin."
Patrick participated in the spelling bee.
The sixth graders in the competition.
Jim's Dad passed away in early February. We had a nice service and then a gathering for friends and family to celebrate his life. Their Dad was always so proud of these three:
Even a little snow couldn't keep Charlie and friends from playing football on a half day.
Jim was asked to play music at a friend's birthday party. By the end of the night, it was an epic karaoke/open mic party. So fun!
Maggie wore her ND jersey for "jersey day."
For his birthday in October, Jim and I gave Patrick three tickets to the upcoming Imagine Dragons concert in February. We told Patrick he could take a friend (and one of us would go with them) or he could take both of us. He chose to take his parents and I am so glad he did. It was such a fun concert and I was glad we both got to experience it with him.

A friend dropped off some hot chocolate for the kids and they drank it in their initial mugs.
The 4th graders took 2nd place in the chess championship!
